Trials HD In Real Life!

We give a Gold Standard Video Award to Julien Dupont and Red Bull for turning the Montaña Rusa at La Feria de Chapultepec amusement park in Mexico City into a Trials HD like course and riding it! We really appreciate the work and sacrifices everyone went into to bring the world this stunt!

This is just another reminder to you all to get up and live today for today and not worry about yesterday or tomorrow.

“Now I feel better, for sure,” said an elated Dupont afterwards. “This morning, I was very nervous because I’m not used to riding this kind of stuff. It was the sickest ride ever!”

Ava Sings Us Christmas Carols And Gets Sassy! #TBT

Throwback Thursday #TBT

Last year Ava was taking it upon herself to learn Christmas songs and talk to us about how great Christmas is. Can’t get much happier than she is! She really gets the Christmas spirit even here when she was only 4 years old. I’m a very proud dad! Hope this brings a smile to your face. Love ya’ll!

HALO 5 IS 'TAILOR-MADE FOR ESPORTS'

“When you think about Halo, it’s such a tailor-made experience for Esports. Especially with that competitive edge, getting back to the level playing field and everything,” 343 Industries’ Josh Holmes said. “So we put a lot of focus on surrounding features.”

“(Spectators) can go in and (watch) any of your friends’ matches in the Beta; you can flip between first person and third person. So if you want to cast, you can go do that in a Twitch stream.”

“(343 Industries will) take (Twitch) streams from top players that are playing, and bundle them up and spotlight them so you can go into the Halo channel and browse through matches, and tune into that.”

“(Casters can) rewind and fast-forward through the match, assuming that you’re tuning in if there’s a bit of a delay. So, if you want to go back and replay a specific moment, you can do that within the controls. We’re looking at deepening those controls for launch, but we want to get that there for Beta so we can put it in the hands of players.”

Looking at Halo 5’s rank system one can easily notice that it was designed with Esports in mind as well. 343 Industries’ rank system will consider the top 200 ranked players in the world as professional players.

“It’s a seven-tier system, so it goes from Iron, Bronze, Silver, Gold, through the ages. The cool thing is that the last two tiers are called Semi-Pro and Pro, so it’s actually integrated into the game,” said 343 Industries Creative Director Timothy Longo.

We reached out to Sundance DiGiovanni, the CEO of Major League Gaming (MLG) and asked what he thought about Halo declaring 200 players professionals. He responded with a smiley face, “No comment.”

I think we can all agree that any efforts made by any developer to help support the growth of Esports is a win.

The real question is, how much power has 343 lost with the Halo Master Chief Collection? Will the Haloites run out and jump on Halo 5 on release? Or will you wait to find out how the servers are?

Director and Writers Leave the’ ‘Minecraft’ Film

The director, Shawn Levy, and writers, Kieran and Michele Mulroney, of the upcoming Minecraft movie have quit.

The three were hired to develop the film with Levy directing. Levy and the Mulroney’s presented a new idea to the studio last month but apparently it didn’t agree with what the Mojang had in mind.

Warner Bros. Studio still views the Minecraft movie project as a very important property and is hoping to hire a new director by the start of the new year.

Warner Bros. acquired the rights to “Minecraft” in February of 2014 with Roy Lee producing along with Jill Messick (Mean Girls).

Kojima Reveals More Than Just Metal Gear Online

Metal Gear Online, Kojima’s “companion” to MGS V: The Phantom Pain, was revealed during the Video Game Awards in a four-minute trailer.

The following was gathered from the official press release:

METAL GEAR ONLINE is a dedicated multi-player mode that segues into elements of the main game and will be included with the single player campaign in METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN at no extra cost.”

“With a focus on Tactical Team Operations, the game features a ‘class system’ that more uniquely defines the strengths and abilities of player characters on the battle field. Key characters from the series including Venom Snake and Ocelot will also make appearances in the anticipated multiplayer feature.”

The real story from the release was that Kojima was wearing a shirt that said 22 – 6 in Swedish. A reddit user figured this out. So it is now speculated that the release date for Metal Gear Online and MGS V: The Phantom Pain is June 22nd, 2015.
