Director and Writers Leave the’ ‘Minecraft’ Film

The director, Shawn Levy, and writers, Kieran and Michele Mulroney, of the upcoming Minecraft movie have quit.

The three were hired to develop the film with Levy directing. Levy and the Mulroney’s presented a new idea to the studio last month but apparently it didn’t agree with what the Mojang had in mind.

Warner Bros. Studio still views the Minecraft movie project as a very important property and is hoping to hire a new director by the start of the new year.

Warner Bros. acquired the rights to “Minecraft” in February of 2014 with Roy Lee producing along with Jill Messick (Mean Girls).

Kojima Reveals More Than Just Metal Gear Online

Metal Gear Online, Kojima’s “companion” to MGS V: The Phantom Pain, was revealed during the Video Game Awards in a four-minute trailer.

The following was gathered from the official press release:

“METAL GEAR ONLINE is a dedicated multi-player mode that segues into elements of the main game and will be included with the single player campaign in METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN at no extra cost.”

“With a focus on Tactical Team Operations, the game features a ‘class system’ that more uniquely defines the strengths and abilities of player characters on the battle field. Key characters from the series including Venom Snake and Ocelot will also make appearances in the anticipated multiplayer feature.”

The real story from the release was that Kojima was wearing a shirt that said 22 – 6 in Swedish. A reddit user figured this out. So it is now speculated that the release date for Metal Gear Online and MGS V: The Phantom Pain is June 22nd, 2015.

Gold Members Will Continue To Get Xbox Fitness For Free In 2015

During 2014 one of the member benefits of Xbox Live Gold on the Xbox One was free access to Microsoft’s health and fitness suite, Xbox Fitness. Now, XBOX has confirmed that Xbox Fitness will be free as an Xbox Live Gold benefit to members in 2015 as well.

“While some of the content available will change in January, Xbox Fitness will continue to offer free and unlimited access to a wide fitness video catalog with your Xbox Live Gold membership, as well as the option to purchase additional full programs with Gold and Silver memberships,” an official XBOX spokesperson said.

All you need is an Xbox One, a Kinect 2.0 sensor, and an Xbox Live Gold membership.

How To Unlock the weekly Nightfall and Heroic Strikes

Go to the Tower and initiate the first quest from Eris. She is located to the left of where you spawn in at the tower.

Complete the three story quests and initiate the “kill 25 Knights or Wizards” bounty.

Repeat the second DLC quest on Earth two or three times to finish the bounty.
Tip: you can delay the death of the big enemy to spawn more Knights and Wizards. Turn it in.

Pick up the three new patrol quests that Eris offers. Go to orbit and then Patrol the Cosmodrome on Earth.

First, go to the right of the initial spawn area. Go through the facility and past The Divide.

Go past the Rocket Yard. Keep going like you are going into the Sepiks Prime strike area.

On your left after the first tunnel past the Rocket Yard you will find a specially marked Hive enemy. Kill it and the subsequent enemies that spawn in to complete your first bounty.

Next, return to orbit and jump right back in the Earth’s Cosmodrome Patrol mission.

Go straight ahead (due north) to the building where you kill a Wizard for the first time in the campaign. Right before the stairs to said Wizard room you’ll find a marked Thrall in the corner. Kill the Thrall and the rest of the enemies in the room to complete the second bounty.

Do not reload, continue on through that area. Go into the area with the original loot cave.

Head into the big building due north (right next to the cave), and run until you get to the big open area of the Terrestrial Complex.

Go straight ahead onto that tiny landing, steal the urn, and kill the enemies that appear.

After you complete these tasks you will unlock the new Strike and the Heroic and Nightfall weeklies. Just to be clear, none of the above steps past the “25 kill” bounty are located on your radar nor are they fully explained.

After you enter the raid and land in the thrall zone, go straight left once you see the first light and the follow the path and you will enter some doors and one of them should have a chest. Part 1 (Level 30 Enemies)

Run & Gun versus Thrall.

Hold hands and travel from light to light as a group. The mark from the darkness stacks with the amount of team members not in the light.

Watch Your Step. There are holes along the way that can kill you.

Build A Bridge. After you finish following the lights there is a platform that you must stand on to form a bridge.

Checkpoint. Once the bridge has formed you will receive the first loot drop.

Part 2 (Level 31 Enemies)

Three platforms are on each side of the bridge which, when all three are active, will form a bridge.

When a totem starts glowing red jump on the platform to stop it. (Like the portals from the Vault of Glass you don’t need to hangout long)

Destroy the Sword Bearer and take his sword. (This is a timed Sword of Crota and it will disappear.)

Once you have a sword of Crota you may cross the bridge. (Wait for the bearer to spawn before activating the bridge.)

Kill the Gatekeeper with the Sword of Crota and flashbangs. (Gatekeepers can be motivated to commit suicide.)

Defend the area and keep the bridge open.

Repeat this process until all members are across.
Titans wearing the exotic Helm of Saint-14 have the advantage. They should place a Ward of Dawn (defense bubble) on the center platform which will flashbang the Gatekeeper. This will make it much easier for the sword bearing Guardian crossing to kill the Gatekeeper.

A wizard and then 2 Ogres will spawn after 5 of the 6 Guardians are across the bridge. (6th Guardian can assist by sniping across the bridge.

Checkpoint. After you defeat the enemies you will receive the second loot drop.

Part 3 (Level 32 Enemies) Video

After a Guardian shoots one of the first two Sword bearing knights a 2:30 timer will start. A message will appear about the Deathsinger Wizard starting her song.
The most effective tactic is for four of the Guardians to run past these knights before engaging them and go to the top center area while the other two Guardians pull out the Wizards into the open. There is also a locked room directly above when you walk in. A Hunter with triple jump can release the wizards.

Standing on the ledges while fighting the Deathsinger Wizard makes it easier to deal with the Knights.

There is no loot drop for this part of the raid.

Part 4 (Level 32 Enemies)

Multiple enemies start spawning and Crota will spawn on the opposite ledge to the Guardians.

Guardians will receive a permanent effect called “Presence of Crota” which turns off the Guardian’s ability to regenerate health.

The “Chalice of Light” can heal the Guardian holding it. The Chalice is the only way of healing a Guardian during this part of the raid.

Kill the Sword bearer and pick up his 45 second Sword to kill Crota.

Other Guardians need to protect the Sword bearer.

Any weapon drops Crota’s shield, but only the sword affects his health. When Crota drops his shield do NOT shoot him. This will cause his shields to regenerate faster.

If a player dies “Oversoul” will spawn. Oversoul needs to be destroyed as fast as possible. Solar weapons are super effective.

System Hack Will Get Tuned!

The last patch from Sledgehammer Games was very positive overall. For details on that patch click here. One change they made was increasing the points you earned while playing Domination. This increase made the game mode finally worth playing again. An unintended consequence of this change was that it turbo charged the use of System Hack score streaks. The System Hack only take 600 points to earn. You get 200 for capturing a flag. So if you get the 1st flag and the “B” Flag you will just need a kill and an assist to earn a system hack.

Everybody is doing it. Even me. I got 7 in one match last night. The other team quit. I got one on opening move and a missile strike and the other team quit immediately. It was a 45 second win. So, Michael Condrey, Co- studio head of Sledgehammer Games tweeted this moments ago:

Will it be a image change for the effects on the screen? Honestly, the worst thing about it is the big “X” that flashes across the screen. If they toned the effects down it would be less annoying. Will it be a point adjustment on earning the streak? If they make it harder to get, i.e. 675 base score, then it will be better in Domination, but less people would run it in modes like Kill Confirmed.

We don’t know when this tweak will happen, but we do know that he is avidly listening to the community. GG!
