Did this cop take it too far? -- Greenville, SC

In Greenville, SC at a Wal-Mart on Whitehorse Rd on August 23rd, 2014 -- two cops were trying to subdue and arrest a customer. I do not know what he did to receive the interest of the cops. The suspect looks like he was going to be shot with a tazer gun and then all of a sudden the cops started to punch the suspect in the head. Eventually a 3rd police officer arrived and helped the other two flip the suspect over and then the same officer who punched the suspect in the head then moved around to the front of the suspect and put his whole weight on the suspect's head with his knee against the concrete floor.

The question is was this too much force? Why did they not tase the suspect and then subdue him while he was unable to fight? Why did they then move to assaulting the suspect? The situation in Ferguson, Missouri is still at a very high tension level. Maybe police officers all over the country need to learn that is not their job to dish out corporal punishment.

Should we have all Police brought to a Psychologist to decide if they still fit the bill for service of the public?

Ava's 1st Day of School - A Momentous Occasion!

Today was Ava's first day of school. Only half of her class was there today. The school splits the first day of school into two separate days in order to better handle the new kids and allow them to transition easier. I think that is a brilliant idea and from what we saw it works out well.

She was so ready to go to school and when we dropped her off there were no tears, just excitement. She was a very good girl before lunch her teacher's assistant told us. When we visited her at lunch she told us she had searched through the school for Pete the Cat's shoes. The shoes were at each of the major locations the kids will visit, the library, the music class, the art room, and the cafeteria. Very neat idea, because they took the shoes and put them on a drawing of Pete the Cat at the end of the day.

I got my haircut today and it is finally fading in on the sides a little more. I think one more haircut ought to have it fixed. I had a high and tight (Marine Corps) hair cut for 14 years and this has been a strange change in my life. But, from what I can tell people like it and I feel more like a civilian. We stopped by Moe's Burritos for some lunch and gave Adeline some time with Mommy and Daddy as the center of attention, something she is not used to. She seemed to enjoy it.

We lost track of time and got in the line to pick up Ava at school a little late. We sat in traffic for a good minute. We will only make that mistake once. Ava was happy to come home but said she was ready to go back tomorrow and learn more stuff. She said she had a great day and was very happy.

Hope to see you all next time! Don't forget to subscribe! Also here is my instagram: http://instagram.com/corporalbruno

PTSD - Calling people on the phone -- or not.

Recently I have decided to try and right one of my wrongs. I have a cell phone glued to my body 16 hours a day or am in front of a computer when I'm not with my phone. I run multiple Twitter accounts, a few YouTube channels, a couple of Twitch channels, and 7 blogs. I somehow cannot manage to pick up a phone and call my relatives.

It must be an anxiety related issue. Because my wife literally has to call someone for me. She will pick up the phone and dial the number and put it on speaker phone. Then once they answer I am okay.

I really miss my Grandma. She is living the retired life in Florida and she is alone. When I was a kid, like 3 and 4 years old, we lived with her and my Poppop (Grandfather) in Colorado on their ranch. It was one of the few times of my childhood that I have super fond memories of. I learned how to play chess there, how to ride a horse, how to read, how to eat all my supper... it was just a healthy, happy place.

Even though I care so much for her and love her so much, I find myself physically unable to pick up the phone and call. My wife is very supportive of my PTSD and I suggested that each Sunday she set a reminder to call my Grandma and we stand around the counter with the kids and talk to her on speaker phone. She agreed and for two weeks know we have called and said hello. We don't talk about anything really important (which is another thing that drives me crazy -- I get frustrated when there is no point to the conversation) but I am happy to speak to her and she sounds very happy to hear from us.

The girls get to hear her voice and learn from her and she tells us stories about me when I was growing up. I hope to extend this project to my mother and father and other friends in the future. But, for now, I will stick to the small steps and keep calling Grandma.

See you soon -- Love you.

SURPRISE! Coming soon!

Hi Patrons and followers alike! Its been a long while since I've been around and a whole lot has went down during that time being off the grid.

The company I work for was bought out by a corporation in a different state. My company also provides my family and I a place to live as well as pays for our insurance. We were very concerned with the change and how it would affect our family.

It turns out after about a month now that it seems like everything will be okay. Our oldest daughter Ava is starting school this upcoming Thursday and she is very excited.

Finally, some video games worth playing are arriving for the new consoles. Diablo III: Ultimate Evil will be released Tuesday night and my crew and I will be playing that until Destiny comes out on September 9th.

Expect footage from both games streamed live to my twitch channel as well as highlights being uploaded to my youtube channel.

Hope to see your smiling faces in the comments! See you soon -- Love you!
